Business Line Manager, Regional Markets MODP
As part of our strategic growth, we are hiring a new Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Canada & LATAM, for Motion Drive Products regional markets business line, to lead and execute an ambitious regional sales strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion and long‑term profitability. This role plays a critical part in strengthening our Motion Drive Products division’s market leadership across the region by combining strategic direction with strong commercial execution and people leadership.
This role is open globally, but preferred locations are Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, or Mexico. The work model is hybrid.
The role will report to our global Business Line Manager, Regional Markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead regional sales and operations performance for Drive Products, ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue expansion, profitability, and market share development with end‑to‑end P&L responsibility (sales & operations).
* Define and execute the regional sales strategy, translating global business line priorities into clear targets, actions, and execution plans tailored to Canada & LATAM.
* Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics; actively monitor results, identify gaps and opportunities, and implement timely corrective actions to secure business outcomes.
* Lead and develop the regional sales organization, including designated Local Division Managers (solid line reporting), fostering a high‑performance, results‑driven sales culture.
* Drive strategic customer engagement, strengthen key customer relationships, and ensure disciplined, value‑based sales execution across the region.
* Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities, allocating resources effectively to accelerate growth and expand ABB’s customer base.
* Safeguard and enhance pricing discipline and market price levels, partnering closely with Product Management to balance competitiveness, revenue, and profitability.
* Promote strong cross‑functional and cross‑regional collaboration to unlock synergies across divisions, business areas, and teams.
* Build, lead, and inspire high performing sales teams, ensuring the right capabilities are in place to execute ambitious growth plans.
* Regularly assess organizational effectiveness and competencies, driving continuous development, coaching, and targeted sales training initiatives.
* Act as a role model for strong sales leadership, accountability, and customer centricity across the region.
Qualifications
* Senior commercial leadership with 12+ years of experience in industrial B2B environments, ideally within drives, motors, or related automation technologies.
* Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth across multicounty or regional markets.
* Strong strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution and performance management.
* Experience leading diverse, geographically distributed sales organizations.
* Ability to lead, inspire, and demonstrate a strong agile mindset, with effective and transformative leadership capabilities.
* Excellent customer, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong business acumen and customer‑first mindset, with the ability to balance revenue growth, pricing, and profitability.
* Fluency in English and Spanish. Portuguese, French or other languages are strong assets.
