A major public-sector organisation is modernising large-scale finance systems as part of its S/4HANA transformation. To support this roadmap, we are looking for a Senior SAP FI Specialist with deep expertise in FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP and FSCM, able to drive functional design, change delivery and solution quality across a complex multi-module landscape.
What You'll Do
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of SAP FI change requests from requirement analysis to go-live.
* Support first and second line FI operations, ensuring stability across FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP and FSCM.
* Run blueprint and fit-gap workshops covering finance, ticketing (sales & invoicing) and FI/CA integrations.
* Analyse business processes, estimate effort and translate requirements into functional designs.
* Configure SAP FI and produce high-quality functional and technical specifications.
* Conduct unit and integration testing, coordinate business testing and secure smooth go-live adoption.
* Manage master data and integrations with third-party tools and other SAP areas.
* Contribute actively to S/4HANA preparation, blueprinting, migration and deployment.
* Debug program logic to support issue analysis and ensure robust solution behaviour.
* Act as SPOC for finance stakeholders, facilitating workshops and aligning with cross-domain SAP experts.
* Mentor junior colleagues and help raise functional standards within a 20+ FTE delivery team.
What are we looking for?
* A Master's degree or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years of hands-on SAP FI expertise
across FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP and
FSCM
.
* Proven experience delivering SAP FI projects end-to-end in complex environments.
* Strong understanding of E2E finance processes and their SAP representation.
* Experience integrating FI with modules such as
FI/CA, MM, SD or CRM
.
* Ability to write functional and technical specs, perform impact analysis and run testing independently.
* Ability to debug code for faster issue resolution.
* Strong analytical, communication and workshop-facilitation skills.
* Comfortable collaborating across business, architecture and technical SAP teams.
* Fluent in
Dutch and/or French
, with good command of English.
