What the Key Tasks Look Like
As Cybersecurity Service Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding ERGO Belgium’s IT landscape. You will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls and services, ensuring they are effective, integrated, and aligned with Group standards.
You’ll act as the operational bridge between ERGO Belgium IT and Group Security, working closely with the Information Technology Security Officer (ISO), who oversees cybersecurity governance at Group level.
Your focus is on execution, service delivery, and embedding security into daily IT operations.
More concretely, your key responsibilities will be:
Cybersecurity Operations & Controls
1. Implement and operate cybersecurity controls across infrastructure, networks, platforms, and applications
2. Ensure controls are properly configured, monitored, and continuously improved
3. Identify weaknesses and drive remediation actions
Security Service Delivery
4. Oversee cybersecurity services such as: Security monitoring (SOC), Incident response, Vulnerability management and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
5. Ensure services deliver measurable operational value
ISO Liaison & Group Alignment
6. Translate Group security requirements into practical implementations
7. Act as key operational partner to the ITSO
8. Provide feedback on feasibility, gaps, and constraints
Security-by-Design
9. Embed security into IT projects, Application development and Infrastructure changes
10. Support teams with secure configurations and production readiness
Incident Management
11. Lead local cybersecurity incident handling
12. Coordinate with SOC and Group response teams
13. Ensure effective containment, remediation, and root cause analysis
Continuous Improvement
14. Identify inefficiencies and strengthen the security posture
15. Drive improvements in tools, processes, and automation
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
16. Coordinate with internal IT teams, Group services, and external providers
17. Manage service performance, issues, and escalations
18. Clearly communicate risks, gaps, and improvements
Required Skills and Competences
19. Solid experience in cybersecurity operations, engineering, or service delivery
20. Proven track record in implementing security controls in enterprise environments
21. Broad knowledge of cybersecurity domains: network, endpoint, IAM, vulnerability management, and monitoring (SOC/SIEM)
22. Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid environments (Azure/AWS; Kubernetes is a plus)
23. Familiar with secure development practices (DevSecOps, CI/CD, application security)
24. Hands-on with common security tools (SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, ServiceNow)
25. Working knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS (focus on implementation)

28. Able to translate strategy into actionable solutions
29. Strong communicator with fluency in English (knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus)
