Our client, a leading academic institution, is driving multiple modernization initiatives across infrastructure, enterprise systems, and security domains. The Senior IT Project Manager will coordinate complex IT transformation projects, ensuring structured governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery across technical and functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure and enterprise system modernization projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across endpoint management, network infrastructure, ERP, database, and security domains.
Translate functional and policy requirements into structured project plans, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage vendor collaboration, contract follow-up, and SLA monitoring.
Oversee migration and upgrade initiatives, ensuring business continuity and fallback planning.
Align technical teams, domain managers, and governance bodies through structured communication and reporting.
Ensure compliance with information security frameworks, governance processes, and change management procedures.
What are we looking for?
You have 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager in complex organizational environments.
You demonstrate experience managing infrastructure and enterprise IT modernization projects.
You have experience with project methodologies such as PRINCE2, ITIL, and Agile or hybrid frameworks.
You possess solid technical understanding of Endpoint Management (e.g., Intune), Database & Server Technologies (e.g., Oracle upgrades), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP optimization).
You have experience coordinating network-related projects such as campus-wide WiFi implementations.
You are familiar with security monitoring and reporting environments, including KPI definition and dashboarding (e.g., SOC reporting).
You have experience managing integrations between systems and coordinating data flows.
You have experience working with formal governance structures, change boards, and information security frameworks.
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Information Management, or equivalent through experience.
You are fluent (C2) in Dutch
Nice to Haves
Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile certification.
Experience in higher education or public sector environments.
Experience coordinating large-scale device migrations (e.g., Intune 2.0).
Experience with SAP clean-core transformation initiatives.
Experience building governance dashboards in Power BI.
