ACENSI BELGIUM is looking for his client a Product Owner Infrastructure (F/M/X)

Project/Department Description and responsibilities

Within the client’s team, the Agile way of working is implemented where the tribe Hybrid Infrastructure is currently looking for a Senior Product Owner who will help the organization to continue to enter into the Digital Age linking the business and IT.

Within the product group Hybrid Infrastructure, who is repsonsible for network connectivity, firewalls, application security, Data Center, Storage solutions, Computing Power (Mainframe, Windows and Linux Server), VM Ware Hypervisor, ... our client is looking for a product owner .

The Product Owner represents both stakeholders and the voice of the customers in terms of their expectations, preferences, and aversions. The Product Owner is responsible for the product strategy, Maximisation of Value, the product plan, and the prioritization of the activities of the product squads in order to achieve a stable run and efficient change.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the business objectives and processes to make informed product prioritization and improvement recommendations, with special focus on Cost optimisation.

• Build a strong relationship and communicate regularly with the product stakeholders and customers to shape the product strategy and to identify and prioritize needs.

• Leading the product strategy, planning and lifecycle management activities. Monitor business, market, and technology trends to keep product strategy up-to-date and proactively propose new solutions.

• Create product roadmaps and release plans that meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. Translating business needs into concrete product and technical needs.

• Translate the product needs into concrete Product backlogs for the product squads, possibly supported by 'Client Value - Integration' for multi-product needs or for non-standard requests.

• Monitor product performance on a regular basis and proactively start activities to improve the products. Determine internal and external resources and skills needed for the product team to deliver the product roadmap, in consultation with the Tribe Manager.

• Guiding the product engineering team in scoping, planning and delivering work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile methods) and best practices (e.g. reusability) and defining technical standards.

• Proactively identify and resolve obstacles to achieving business objectives for the product, including Cost Optimisation, standardization, technical and resourcing challenges. Ensure technical design are aligned and compliant with financial, business and IT standards (e.g. Architecture, Compliance, Security).

• Ensure on a permanent basis that the various stakeholders are aligned with the product that is offered. Make arbitration decisions regarding the functionality that will be provided.

• Manage investment decisions and finances for the product, with a return-on-investment approach to increase value while minimizing product costs.

• Participate in the squad ceremonies to guide them in prioritizing and clarifying customer needs.

• Manage stakeholders expectation regarding delivery speed, delivery delays and reprioritisations.

Technical profile requirements

• +5 years’ experience in a Product Owner role in the IT Sector (preferably in (Hybrid)- Infrastructure), or similar through experience.

• Experience in determining and overseeing infrastructure products, related to IT Security & Networking, and Server Infrastructure (Both On-prem and on Cloud) estimating resource requirements.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience using data to inform decision-making and solve infrastructure engineering problems.

• Strong experience in understanding the needs of business partners and customers.

• Proven success in defining and building products. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information orally and in writing to various stakeholders in a concise manner.

• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

• Very good knowledge of Agile methods, preferably as Product Owner or Scrum Master (ex: Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe).

Non-Technical profile requirements

• Driven by result and value oriented attitude.

• Accountability.

• Skills for building relationships and collaboration between diverse and matrix-bound stakeholders and customers.

• Ability to surface, prioritize, and balance multiple stakeholder priorities.

• Strong Business management skills to manage Value within the Product.

• Knowledge of the Agile way of working (POs, Squads, Ceremonies, Agile Mindset, ...).

• Expertise in strategic thinking and strong business acumen.

• People management, entrepeneurship, analytical mindset, team player, ..

• Teamwork in an organisation where the Product Owner in not responsible for the day to day management of delivery. In order to realise his priorities he will collaborate with the Tribe manager, Squad lead and team members and clients to ensure his priorities are realised within the squad.

Methodology/Certification requirements

• Master Degree in Computer Science OR equivalent through experience.

• Very good coaching & training skills.

Language proficiencies

• Excellent knowledge of French or Dutch, with the ability to follow conversations in the other language – English is a must-have. Fluent in French is mandatory.

• Professional working knowledge in Dutch is a strong plus.

• Professional working knowledge in English is a strong plus.
