For one of our clients – a globally recognized multinational with its European Headquarters located in Belgium – we are currently looking for a GL Accountant to strengthen their finance team.
The company operates in multiple countries and is known for its structured environment, international exposure, and strong financial governance. This role offers visibility across European operations and close collaboration with international stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
As a GL Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting.
Your responsibilities include:
* Preparing and posting journal entries
* Performing balance sheet reconciliations
* Managing month-end and year-end closing activities
* Supporting statutory reporting and audits
* Ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
* Monitoring intercompany transactions
* Supporting process improvements within the accounting function
You will work closely with AP, AR, and Controlling teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Your Profile
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a GL Accountant (essential)
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Strong understanding of accounting principles
* Experience with month-end closing processes
* ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is a plus)
* Strong Excel skills
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Detail-oriented, analytical, and structured
