The opportunity
EY Strategy and Transactions provides services within the domain of mergers and acquisitions, private and public offerings, valuations, business modeling, due diligence, and financial consulting. Our team is positioned to support corporate transactions independently of lenders, investors, and investment bankers.
EY SaT is growing and is looking for a Manager Financial Due Diligence.
The Transaction Diligence team assists clients, including private equity firms and corporate clients, throughout the transaction process. This includes traditional financial due diligence, business plan assessment, transaction management support, negotiation, documentation, and post-completion integration.
Your key responsibilities
As a manager, your tasks will include:
* Performing financial due diligence related to the sale and purchase of companies and businesses, identifying relevant issues and assessing their impact on the transaction.
* Understanding key business drivers and providing value through our services and deliverables.
* Maintaining regular communication with the target and the client at all levels.
* Collaborating with team members, sharing responsibilities, supporting the project, and communicating issues, conclusions, and progress.
* Gathering, verifying, analyzing information, and forming views and conclusions.
* Preparing reports, presentations, and discussing findings with clients.
* Providing coaching and sharing technical knowledge with the team and department.
Skills and attributes for success
* Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
* Logical and methodical approach
To qualify for the role you must have
* A master's degree and approximately 5 years of experience in Transactions
* Good accounting knowledge
* Ability to build relationships at all levels and work as a team player
* Independence and professional assertiveness in your work
* Project management and Excel skills
Ideally, you'll also have
* Excellent communication skills, especially in a virtual environment
* Enrollment in the CFA program
