Technical Writer
This role involves creating user-friendly documents for end-users, collaborating with technical experts to understand products or processes, and producing various forms of technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, technical understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively with experts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understand target audiences to create tailored documentation.
* Collaborate with technical experts to ensure accurate documentation.
* Produce user manuals, installation guides, FAQs, technical sheets, project reports, and training proposals.
* Master word processing software, desktop publishing, screenshot capture, content management, and markup languages such as HTML and XML.
* Manage documentation to ensure relevance, accessibility, and quality.
Requirements:
* Language Proficiency: Business fluent in written and spoken English; French is a plus.
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in technical communication, information design, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
* Experience & Portfolio: Previous technical writing experience in corporate settings, freelancing, or internships; strong portfolio with diverse writing samples.
* Personal Attributes: Proactive, curious, adaptable, and equipped with strong interpersonal skills.
* Research & Attention to Detail: Strong research skills for complex topics, keen attention to detail for proofreading, and ability to create visuals that enhance documentation clarity.
