PpAs a Senior Backend Engineer in one of the AI focussed teams, you will help shape the future of intelligent, AI-powered features that enhance how sales teams work. You'll build and maintain serverless event-driven systems and APIs that integrate with third-party services. You'll be responsible for driving technical and product decisions based on your expertise, designing solutions that leverage modern AI capabilities to deliver real value to users. Rather than a monolithic environment, you will help develop an ecosystem of services, as you identify and isolate parts of the system to increase reliability and promote quality. Your decisions will not only have an impact on the way we build our product but also on the end-user experience for all our customers. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liDevelop AI-powered features that leverage large language models to automate and enhance user workflows. /li liContribute to improving our development processes and environments. /li liBuild and maintain integrations with third-party platforms and APIs. /li liHelp define, implement, and maintain our growing ecosystem of microservices. /li liWork in software teams where code reviews and pair programming are part of our strong engineering culture. /li liTake a security-first approach to implementing features and changes. /li liCollaborate with and mentor less experienced engineers on best practices and architectures. /li liHave a strong eye on the bigger picture because everything you do will have an impact on 100,000 users globally. /li /ul h3What We’re Looking For /h3 ul li5+ years developing scalable, production-ready backend systems /li liExperience with backend systems for AI/ML-powered product is a plus /li liStrong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js /li liInterest in or experience with AI/LLM integration and prompt engineering /li liExperience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems (message queues, state machines, asynchronous workflows) /li liExperience working in a cloud environment. Experience working in AWS and familiarity with services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, Step Functions, and API Gateway is a plus /li liUnderstanding the importance of strong software testing at every stage and an advocate for test-driven development /li liComfortable analyzing, estimating, and prioritizing complex projects /li liAbility to model data and queries around feature requirements with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
