Transuniverse Forwarding has been active in the groupage and transport sector since 1983. Over the years, from our offices in Wondelgem, Paris and Romania, we have built up a network of regular customers and loyal agents. We specialise in groupage to Austria, the Baltic States, Benelux, Cyprus, Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Maghreb, Algeria, the former Yugoslavia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
What does the job of Traffic Operator Benelux involve?
You are responsible for the day-to-day coordination of operational planning and transportation activities. You ensure an efficient and customer-friendly planning with attention to price-quality. The organization of transport orders, deliveries and pick-ups is your responsibility. You consider the imposed procedures and wishes of the customers.
You consider shipment information, customer performance and costs to keep the gross dossier profit as high as possible. You also keep the TMS (Navision) up to date at all times by updating customer and supplier data.
You work together with your colleagues in a rotation system. For two weeks you will alternate between the day shift (8:30 am to 5 pm) and the early shift (6 am to 2 pm). The third week you will work with the late shift (12 o’clock to 8 pm).
What are your talents and skills?
1. Flexible working is not a problem for you. In addition, you like challenges.
2. Punctuality and setting priorities are your strong points.
3. Your social and communication skills ensure that contacts with customers, drivers, agents, etc. run smoothly.
4. You have experience in calculating load capacities, cubages, load meters …
5. Shipping units such as a europallet, block pallet and IBC hold no secrets for you.
6. Knowledge of CMR legislation, ADR and INCO Terms is an advantage.
7. Have you already worked with the ERP package Navision? Then you have an advantage.
