As a Progress OpenEdge senior developer you take responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of both applications and the development team and their best practices.

Your role and responsibilities
1. Using your technical expertise you assess the feasibility of the proposed functional analysis.
2. Proactively you advise and recommend technical improvements.
3. Based on the analysis you develop specific functionalities using the different development tools at your disposal.
4. Progress OpenEdge development is your main expertise but you can expand your scope over time.
5. You take responsibility and solve incidents and problems within your domain and are continuously looking at further improvements of applications and processes.
6. Your technical prowess will be vital in driving functional analysis improvements, functional and technical alignments, and guiding both junior and senior developers to excellence.
How to succeed / Your profile
7. Relevant bachelor’s degree or equal by experience.
8. A good spoken and written knowledge of English.
9. Good collaborative skills and sense of responsibility.
10. Experience with Progress OpenEdge development.
11. A strong analytical mind.
12. An accurate, methodical and systematic way of working.
13. A customer-oriented approach and good communication skills.
14. Able to work in a team as well as independently.
15. Excellent problem analysis and problem solving.
16. Good understanding of REST, JSON, Domain-Driven Design, Unit testing and integration testing.
Nice to have
17. Experience with test driven development, CI/CD environments.Knowledge of Jenkins, ELK, Grafana, Kafka, Akeyless, BigQuery
