For the European Maintenance Support (EMS) department, responsible for executing specialized maintenance activities in different powerplants in Belgium and Europe, we are currently looking for an Senior Engineer pumps, valves and boilers (M/F/X).
Responsibilities
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Senior Engineer pumps, valves and boilers
Long-Term Maintenance Strategy: You develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies for the recovery boilers and on Balance Of Plant equipment and play a key role in the scoping, preparation and consolidation of outage maintenance projects.
Knowledge Development, Sharing and Training: You build, develop and consolidate know-how on recovery boilers and on Balance Of Plant equipment within EMS by sharing lessons learned internally, engaging in internal and external networks, supporting and training and coaching team members and developing appropriate training modules to maintain EMS's competencies on maintenance.
Improvement Projects : You identify, initiate and develop improvement projects, based upon return-on-experience, technical-financial analyses (business case) and assist in contract negotiation.
Technical Leadership: You identify and analyse incidents, events or non-conformities during outages, conduct root-cause analyses, and define and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Field Assessment: You perform fact finding and condition assessment missions on-site or in supplier workshops.
YOUR PROFILE as Senior Engineer pumps, valves and boilers
You hold a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering .
You have profound knowledge and proven experience (5-10yrs) in the domain of Power Plants and more specifically on boilers and on Balance Of Plant equipment (large pumps&valves).
You have relevant experience in design/manufacturing/maintenance of boilers or large pumps&valves in an industrial environment.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are able to log your knowledge and works in solid reports, and you want to further develop your knowledge in order to become subject matter expert and a reference in the domain of pumps & valves maintenance inside and outside ENGIE.
You like to work in a mixed team (both technicians as engineers) and take into account the opinions of your stakeholders (EMS colleagues, powerplant staff, service provider personnel, insurers…) working towards common goals
You have a professional knowledge of English and speak either Dutch or French
You are mobile and flexible, you move regularly between different sites and prepared to spend 30% of your working time abroad
You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues
