You will act as a Senior Data & AI Engineer and technical lead within a multidisciplinary team delivering AI solutions that create tangible business value. The focus is on building simple, secure, scalable, and cost-effective AI applications, leveraging cloud-native services, reusable architectures, and low-code where appropriate.
You take ownership of the technical design, implementation, and operationalization of AI solutions. You define standards, guide architectural choices, and coach other engineers while remaining hands‑on in development. You balance innovation with pragmatism, ensuring solutions are robust, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
What you’ll do
* You translate business use cases into clear AI solution architectures, prioritizing simplicity, security, standardization, and reuse.
* You design, build, and coordinate end‑to‑end AI solutions using Azure AI Services, Databricks, and Power Platform.
* You act as technical lead, coordinating implementation and coaching team members on architecture and development practices.
* You define and maintain reference architectures, coding standards, and reusable infrastructure modules.
* You deploy and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, ensuring consistency and scalability.
* You contribute to business case development, estimating technical costs for development, infrastructure, and maintenance.
* You work according to modern delivery practices such as Scrum or Kanban, test‑driven development, and CI/CD.
Requirements
* You have deep hands‑on experience with the Azure cloud platform, including networking and security.
* You have proven experience implementing AI solutions using Azure AI Services, such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Document Intelligence, and Azure AI Foundry.
* You have strong expertise in Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, chunking and indexing, and search & ranking techniques.
* You can deliver end‑to‑end solutions, covering both backend and frontend (UI/UX) aspects.
* You have solid experience with Databricks, including Mosaic AI, PySpark, SQL, and pipeline orchestration (e.g. Airflow).
* You are familiar with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, and embedded AI capabilities.
* You use Terraform for infrastructure deployment and lifecycle management.
* You have a strong architectural mindset and can select the right technologies while balancing integration and maintainability.
* You have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and take a solution‑oriented approach.
* You are comfortable acting as a technical lead, with clear communication and team‑coaching skills.
* You show an entrepreneurial mindset and proactively take ownership of outcomes.
* You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
