Lloyd's Europe is apany which has played an important part of Lloyd's European Market Access strategy for both the insurance and reinsurance business in the EU/EEA since 2019. It allows Lloyd's to remain actively engaged with the market and ensure that Lloyd's Europe is an effective solution for the market to carry on business without interruption after the UK left the EU.

Lloyd's Europe Finance is at the heart of the insurance business, leading the financial & capital management, analysis and reporting to securely fulfil all statutory requirements and addmercial insight & value.

Role Purpose

The role is a general actuarial associate role within the team and is expected to involve work across the main focus of the team - reserving, reporting and capital modelling. The role will cover all actuarial work required to support this significant insurancepany.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Build data processes, and review and validate data used in actuarial modelling and reporting

2. Undertake the actuarial aspects of the Solvency II quarterly and annual reporting, Belgian GAAP reporting and other local reporting as required

3. Undertake and develop claims reserving processes across the Lloyd's Europe book of business, on best estimate and Belgian GAAP bases or as required

4. Support the Actuarial Manager in the determining of assumptions and the building of reserving processes

5. Undertake and develop processes to calculate the capital requirements under Solvency II Standard Formula

6. Undertake premium reserving across the Lloyd's Europe book of business as required

7. Undertake capital projections to support the work of Business planning and ORSA

8. Undertake work to support analysis of surplus, premiums earning patterns and other actuarial tasks

9. Undertake actuarial work for the local Lloyd's branches in Europe

10. Undertake ad-hoc actuarial work to support projects as required

12. Design implementations of analysis to address specific questions.
13. Suggests solutions to any practical barriers to delivery of analysis based on experience of other work areas.

15. Proactively propose appropriate deadlines for delivery.

16. Manage project work to ensure coordinated delivery of output.

Knowledge

27. Knowledge of the actuarial techniques involved in non-life insurance

28. Knowledge of various IT tools including Excel, Access, Word and databases.

29. ResQ & R Studio experience a distinct advantage.

Experience

30. Experience in non-life insurance work, preferably across a range of work areas (in particular reserving, capital modelling).

31. Experience in deliveringplex work output, including supervising work, andmunicating this to different audiences.
