As they continue to grow, they are looking for a skilled Java Software Engineer to join their collaborative product team.The RoleAs a Backend Java Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the core services that power our platform. You’ll work within a close-knit product team of six engineers, contributing to high-impact features and helping shape the technical direction of our systems.This is a hybrid role based in Antwerp, with three days per week onsite in our modern office.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and SpringBuild and optimise APIs and microservices to support product featuresWork with Elasticsearch to deliver powerful search and data retrieval capabilitiesCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineersContribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement of the platformEnsure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practicesTroubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability challengesRequirementsProven experience as a backend software engineer, with strong Java expertiseSolid experience with Spring / Spring BootHands-on experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologiesUnderstanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systemsFamiliarity with cloud environments and modern development practices (CI/CD, containerisation)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailComfortable working in a collaborative, agile team environmentFluent in English (written and spoken)Nice to HaveExperience in SaaS or recruitment technology platformsKnowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or similar toolsExposure to data modelling and performance optimisationWhat They OfferUp to €6.5k gross per month - Dependent on ability and experienceMeal Vouchers Net Allowance of €150 per monthEco ChequesBike LeasingHospitalisation InsuranceInternet allowance and Phone subscriptionA collaborative and innovative team environmentOpportunity to work on a product with real industry impactHybrid working model (3 days onsite in Antwerp)Professional growth and development opportunitiesIf you’re passionate about building high-quality backend systems and want to be part of a forward-thinking company in the recruitment tech space, we’d love to hear from you.Apply Below or send an email to david.ware@vividresourcing.com
