For a customer in Belgium, I am searching for a freelance Project for an ERP (Workday) implementation to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the platform rollout across their Italian and Spanish operations. The second phase will see the rollout of two additional European locations.
You will be responsible for aligning technical and process transformation goals, ensuring organizational readiness, and fostering strong stakeholder alignment across diverse geographical and cultural contexts. You will work closely with the implementation partner and project sponsor and should act as a change leader—identifying process gaps, challenging inefficiencies, and driving a consistent and future-ready way of working across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Lead E2E delivery of the Workday implementation in Italy and Spain, from planning to go-live and post-launch stabilization.
* Ensure the Workday rollout aligns with redefined operational processes. Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to embed best practices and optimize workflows.
* Develop and execute change management strategies to support adoption. Champion user readiness, stakeholder engagement, and training initiatives to ease transition and mitigate resistance.
* Identify process inefficiencies or gaps exposed during the Workday implementation. Proactively challenge current ways of working and promote practical, forward-looking alternatives.
* Align stakeholders across Italy and Spain, ensuring consistent communication, process standardization (where appropriate), and cultural sensitivity in execution.
* Manage relationships with Workday implementation partner, internal stakeholders, project sponsors and external vendors to keep the project on track and within scope.
* Monitor project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timeline, budget, and quality targets are met.
Profile
* Proven experience managing Workday (or other major HR/Finance ERP) implementations, preferably in multi-country settings
* Strong background in process transformation and operational change management
* Experience identifying inefficiencies and recommending sustainable, standardized solutions
* Skilled in stakeholder alignment across different cultural and operational contexts
* Exceptional communication, influence, and facilitation skills. Ability to challenge where necessary and get all users onboard with the transformation.
