Project Manager - Business Process Management

Hybrid Contract Role | Brussels

A prestigious government body is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to support and lead key digital transformation initiatives. This is a hybrid contract position based in Brussels, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact, cross-departmental projects within a complex and evolving public sector environment.

Role Overview

As Project Manager, you will play a strategic role in identifying, structuring, and delivering modernisation initiatives that align with broader business and digital objectives. You will work across departments to ensure collaboration, governance, and execution excellence.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain comprehensive documentation within a Business Process Management (BPM) framework, using BPM tools like ARIS.
* Develop practical guidelines and provide structured support to internal stakeholders and departments.
* Facilitate collaboration across departments through workshops and coordinated follow-up.
* Identify and document transformation initiatives aligned with business priorities and digital strategy.
* Analyse proposals to ensure coherence with organisational goals and promote synergies.
* Ensure full alignment with governance processes and effective integration of business and IT.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and shared value across initiatives.
* Translate initiatives into clear, manageable projects with defined ownership, budgets, timelines, and milestones.

Requirements:

* Solid understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) and related methodologies, familiarity with BRM tool; ARIS (Software AG).
* Strong project management expertise in areas such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking.
* Proven experience in modernising large or complex organisations.
* Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Lean delivery frameworks.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills in English (C1+).
* Experience working in multilingual and cross-functional environments.
* Strong analytical mindset and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
