About our role:
Our client operates in the collective services space. Across Europe, waste management and remediation organisations are accelerating the adoption of automation, cloud computing, robotics, AI and data analytics to reduce environmental impact, boost operational efficiency, and support longterm resource sustainability. Within this evolving landscape, our client is seeking a motivated, curious and impact driven professional to join their team as an IT Data & Automation Specialist. In this role, you will lead essential work around automation, data structuring, cloud integration, and digital enablement. You’ll support the creation of future proof systems that help teams work smarter, stay safer, and prepare for an AI enabled future. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative and forward looking ICT team and make a real impact on the digital backbone supporting remediation activities across Europe. What you will be doing:
* Develop automation scripts that simplify and optimise key business processes.
* Collect, organise and analyse data to support operational decision making and improving workflows.
* Support the organisation’s AI transition by identifying suitable use cases and validating possible solutions with central AI teams.
* Train internal teams to adopt and leverage digital and AI enhanced tools.
* Maintain, scale and secure automated workflows, ensuring reliable performance across environments.
* Collaborate with IT and business teams to align technical solutions with operational needs.
* Connect different digital systems to automate recurring, business critical tasks.
* Help design dashboards and monitoring tools that guide prevention, optimisation and strategic choices.
* Contribute to long-term digital transformation initiatives at both local and European levels.
What you bring:
* Ambition to further develop your career in IT automation, data, cloud and digital transformation.
* Proven experience in a similar role.
* Past experience in the collective services industry is nice to have.
* Your strengths are automation scripting, cloud data workflows, and data integration.
* Working experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript, GCP/BigQuery, AWS, Azure, Looker Data Studio, Apps Script or Google Sheets API is essential.
* Strong problem solving and collaborative communication skills.
* Strong communication skills in English and Dutch or French.
