We are seeking a motivated and experienced Linux Engineer to join our TechOps team. This role is central to maintaining and modernizing our infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation, security, and cloud migration.
As a Linux Engineer, you will be embedded within the TechOps team, where you will contribute to critical infrastructure projects and take an active role in the evolution of our systems and environments. You will participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of Linux-based platforms and support the transition to modern technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. You will participate in infrastructure-related projects across the organization
2. You will design and implement new technologies to improve system performance and maintainability
3. You will assess the existing Linux environment, identify areas for improvement, and provide expert recommendations
4. You will contribute to the implementation and testing of new system features and functionalities
5. You will automate recurring tasks to increase operational efficiency and reliabilit
6. You will lead and support obsolescence management activities, including migrations from RHEL 7 & RHEL 8 to RHEL 9
7. You will manage, configure, and administer RHEL 7, 8, and 9 environments, implementing necessary system changes
8. You will apply the latest internal hardening standards, and automate security configurations and controls to ensure compliance
9. You will identify impacted assets for known vulnerabilities, assess the impact of mitigations, design solutions, and implement automation for remediation
10. You will participate in the migration of legacy systems to IAAS platforms, contributing to the modernization of the infrastructure
You have the following skills
Profile Requirements
11. You have a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
12. You have 6+ years of experience as a Linux Engineer, with strong hands-on expertise in RHEL 7, 8 & 9
13. You have deep knowledge and practical experience with automation tools, particularly Ansible, and scripting with Bash and Python
14. You have working experience with IBM Cloud, IAAS platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and VMware
15. You have familiarity with Elastic Search and can integrate it within infrastructure operations
16. You have basic knowledge (preferably) of Windows Server, network infrastructure, and firewalls
17. You have a structured and proactive working style, with excellent problem-solving skills
18. You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-oriented environment
19. You have strong communication skills and the ability to document and present technical solutions clearly
20. You have relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat, Ansible, cloud technologies) — these are considered a plus
21. You have fluent English skills; knowledge of Dutch or French is beneficial

24. If you are at least fluent in ENG and FR OR NL it’s best
