In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and delivering innovative pressure management solutions for our customers in industries such as petrochemical, refining, and energy. You will be responsible for the Pressure Management business targets with a defined portfolio of End User accounts to achieve the agreed orders, sales and profitability targets. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen to identify customer needs, recommend Emerson’s advanced pressure management technologies, and achieve sales targets across the region. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Drive Business Growth: Achieve sales and bookings targets for the full Pressure Management portfolio within your assigned account base. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to strengthen Emerson’s position in the Netherlands. Engage with Customers: Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with customers, EPCs, and contractors. Develop a deep understanding of customer operations and needs, and recommend tailored pressure management solutions that create value. Manage Key Accounts: Develop and execute account strategies, manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to order closure, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle. Lead Commercial Activities: Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, lead pricing and contract negotiations, and close deals in line with Emerson’s commercial policies and ethical standards. Provide Technical Support: Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and consultations. Translate customer challenges into technically sound and commercially viable solutions using Emerson’s advanced technologies. Monitor Market Trends: Gather and share insights on competitor activities, customer trends, and market developments to support long-term growth strategies and innovation. Represent the Emerson Brand: Represent Emerson at industry events, conferences, and customer forums to build our visibility, credibility, and trusted-partner status in the market. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal partners including application engineering, project management, cross-business unit teams, and customer support to deliver on commitments and ensure high-quality project execution. Who You Are: You provide timely and helpful information to partners across the organization, keeping others informed so they can make effective decisions. You focus on what matters most, set ambitious yet realistic goals, and follow through on commitments. You build strong relationships by listening, seeking to understand different perspectives, and creating an environment of mutual trust and respect. For This Role, You Will Need: A background in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field (formal degree or equivalent practical experience). Strong understanding of industrial processes, ideally gained within the petrochemical, refining, or energy sectors. Experience in technical sales, business development, or engineering within industrial equipment (for example valves, pressure management, or flow control), including solving customer challenges with technical solutions. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and build sustainable customer relationships. Experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and CRM systems to track and analyze sales activities and opportunities. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of a customer’s organization. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and Dutch. Willingness to travel regularly within the Benelux region to engage with customers and partners. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Additional verbal and written communication skills in French. Strong commercial mindset, with a focus on value creation for both customers and Emerson. High technical aptitude and the ability to understand, explain, and apply complex engineering concepts in a clear, accessible way. Proven problem-solving skills and experience in consultative selling, turning customer needs into practical, value-added solutions. Self-motivated, proactive approach, with the ability to organize and prioritize work independently. Strong interpersonal skills, with a natural inclination to build networks and long-term relationships. Comfort working in changing environments and the ability to succeed in contexts of uncertainty. Collaborative teammate who works effectively across functions, business units, and regions. Experience working in a matrix organization or a global company environment.
