Head of PMO

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Management Lead to lead our Project Management Office. This role will be pivotal in driving cross-functional initiatives, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery of critical projects, and aligning programs with business unit goals. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in healthcare or medical technology, with a track record of building and scaling PMO functions in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Define, implement, and maintain project management processes, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
* Oversee multiple projects, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment with the overall organizational portfolio.
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels, managing expectations, and ensuring project alignment.
* Track progress, identify issues, and provide regular reporting on project performance to stakeholders.
* Manage changes to projects and ensure they are aligned with the business strategy.
* Plan, allocate, and manage resources for projects, including people, tools, and budget.
* Lead, coach, and mentor the PMO team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Guide the product vision, strategy, and implementation, ensuring alignment with the business unit goals.
Who are we looking for?
Education
* Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
* MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Skillset:
* 10 years experience in healthcare, MedTech or medical devices.
* 5 years program/project management experience.
* Proven successful delivery of products to market from conception through development and launch execution.
* Regulatory & MS experience required: ISO 13485, FDA, CE, ISO27001, IVD or MDR.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, wiki).
* Ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
* Ability to identify and resolve project issues, make data-driven decisions, and manage risks.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, track progress, and ensure timely delivery.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of project managers and PMO staff.
* Understanding of AI and ML principles, and how they can be applied to solve business problems in healthcare (preferred).
* Language: English is required (others are a plus).
Mobility:
* Travel up to 10%.
* Hybrid 40%/60% work-from-home/in-office working model.
