The Context
Once again, AXA Belgium confirms its digital leadership by ranking first in the Sia Partners 2025 international benchmark, dedicated to the digital customer experience in the non-life insurance sector. This result highlights the quality and performance of the online journey offered by AXA. Our application landscape within AXA Belgium's 'Customer & Distributor Portals' department is also undergoing a remarkable transformation. AXA is customer-oriented while being in line with its distribution network.
Within the IT department, we are looking to reinforce the 'Customer & Distributor Portals' domain and more specifically, the team responsible for the "customer facing" applications. These applications serve private and corporate clients. Simultaneously, our team is driving a comprehensive, multi-year transformation program.
The team's technical environment is composed by the following tools and technologies:
* Front-end in Angular and .Net
* Back-end in .Net and Java using REST API, Spring Boot
* Applications deployed in AWS and Azure
* Version control using GitHub and Github flow
As a Technical Analyst / Business Analyst your main tasks include:
* You take the lead and organize relevant meetings with multiple business/IT stakeholders to translate the business/IT needs into detailed functional and technical requirements for the IT implementation team.
* You produce requirements specification and technical design documents.
* You design/review and execute/conduct tests to validate the team's deliverables.
* You are a responsible key contact for other teams with which we deliver end-to-end solutions and you establish liaison between the various IT and business teams.
* You work closely with the Solution Architect, the Business architect, the other business and system analysts and the implementation team.
* You carry out gap analysis.
* You support the creation (including user acceptance tests (UAT) and analyses of defects and the management of change requests.
* You play an active role in Agile ceremonies as part of the Agile delivery process (Quarterly Planning, grooming sessions, Sprint planning, daily scrum).
Roles and responsibilities
* Gather and understand business needs in full autonomy and translate them into detailed functional and technical analysis to be used by developers.
* Assist the business in defining needs rather than prescribing solutions, prioritizing them appropriately and adopting a minimum viable product (MVP) approach.
* Create a solution that our customers love to use.
* Analyse and evaluate existing systems and proposing improvements where necessary.
* Be adaptable and ready to step in and support the team when required, even if it means going beyond your usual responsibilities.
* Collaborate with Epic Manager, Solution Architect, Requirement Engineers, System Analysts and Lead Developers.
Requirements
* You have 5 years of experience in a complex IT project environment (involving technologies like Angular, Java, API, …) as technical analyst and notion of Business analysis.
* You understand a given IT architecture, which is necessary to the correct description of the requirements of the various solution components.
* You are able to take the lead, you are rigorous, customer-oriented, have an analytical mindset, are proactive and have good communication skills.
* You take a structured approach and have a structured way of thinking.
* You have expertise in application design, data management, business rules, process modelling, performance analysis, and databases.
* You are able to work independently while having real team spirit and adaptable with your colleagues. You can develop a strong internal network, which promotes cooperation with AXA's other teams.
* You have a master degree or equivalent by experience in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
* You communicate in a clear and transparent manner, according to your discussion partner (technical or non technical).
* You are fluent in French or Dutch and in English.
* Experience in banking, financial or insurance domains is a plus.
