The company’s Capsules & Health Ingredients (CHI) division delivers end-to-end dosage form solutions—including capsules, ingredients, and customization services—for clients across the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.This is a permanent role focused on the design, implementation, and deployment of advanced, internally developed machinery on a global scale.Job Description As a Global Electrical Engineer, you will be the in-house expert for electrical systems within a multidisciplinary R&D team. You’ll work on high-tech machinery projects spanning multiple regions, providing technical input from concept to commissioning. This is a highly technical position—ideal for someone with strong electrical fundamentals looking to work at the interface of R&D, engineering, and global operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement electrical systems for advanced in-house machinery deployed globally (Belgium, France, US, Mexico, China, Japan, India)Conduct cable calculations, create electrical schematics, and ensure global safety complianceServe as the electrical expert within a 24-person R&D team (predominantly mechanical engineers)Interface with site-based engineers and maintenance teams during rollout and support phasesCollaborate with global automation engineers to align standards, architectures, and documentationDevelop and maintain corporate electrical standards aligned with IEC, UL, and internal requirementsParticipate in commissioning and validation activities of control systems and related hardwareInterpret process diagrams, P&IDs, functional specs, and mechanical drawings for design inputDocument electrical designs with appropriate traceability and version controlSupport knowledge transfer to installation teams and ensure quality executionCommunicate technical decisions clearly across departments and to non-technical stakeholdersCandidate RequirementsMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3–5 years of experience in electrical design within a manufacturing or machinery environmentStrong technical knowledge in cable sizing, schematics, and complianceHands-on mindset and ability to work in a multidisciplinary teamExcellent communication skills; able to liaise with global stakeholders across functionsFamiliarity with automation or controls engineering is a plusStructured, documentation-focused approach to design workFluent in English; Dutch is a plusOccasional international travel expected (low frequency)Additional InsightsLocation: Bornem, BelgiumDepartment: R&DStart Date: ASAPSchedule: Full-timeContract: PermanentInterested?
