About the Role
We are supporting a well-established and fast-growing organization operating in the software and technology sector, based in the Antwerp region. As part of continued growth across its Benelux operations and increasing SaaS-related activities, the company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to strengthen its local finance team.
This is a hands-on role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, offering close collaboration between finance, commercial, and operations teams in a tech-driven business .
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of general ledger accounting for one or more Belgian entities
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare financial statements in accordance with BE GAAP
Manage VAT returns and statutory compliance, including digital services considerations
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors
Support budgeting and forecasting, working closely with Finance and business stakeholders
Monitor and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
Participate in ERP and financial systems enhancements (e.g. automation, integrations with billing/subscription tools)
Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across sales, operations, and product teams
Support revenue recognition processes (including SaaS / subscription-based models)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within technology, software, SaaS, or a fast-paced international environment
Strong knowledge of BE GAAP (IFRS exposure is a plus)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Exact)
Understanding of revenue recognition principles (SaaS/subscription models) is a strong advantage
Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
