Responsibilities
* Ensures that all credit proposals (CA, TR, AQR) collaterals related actions are approved with respect of the current delegated authority, prior to processing
* Ensures that all pre-conditions are satisfied before making available the credit limits in the core banking system. Follow-up with the RM in case conditions precedent are not satisfied.
* Ensures that all collaterals have been obtained / perfected before making available the credit limits in T24. Follow-up with the RM in case required collateral is not in place.
* Ensures that legal documentation (facility letters, loan agreements, collaterals) is complete, legally perfected and are enforceable
* Ensures proper sign off on deviations of the standard legal documentation
* Files legal documentation in fireproof cabinets directly upon receipt
* Administrates/organizes legal documentation in the borrower folder in the department’s shared folder
* Administrates the archiving process of expired or released legal documentation. Creates in the core banking system T24 all credit
* Input the agreed terms and conditions for credit facilities in T24 based on proper approval
* Links in T24 credit limits to the related collateral
* Completes / updates in T24 of borrower & guarantor’s specific “credit admin data” based on approved proposals (File maturity, classification, SE cat. ….)
* Links in T24 borrower’s created limit(s) to their related “overdraft” account(s), where applicable.
* Requests authorization from Authorizer - CAD on all inputs in T24: limits, collaterals, account linkage (if any), account debit interest (if any), and suspension of interest (if any).
* Amend/cancels limits, collateral, pricing & conditions in T24 based on approved proposals
* Ensure settlement of all borrower’s exposures before cancelling the limits and the collaterals in T24
* Upon settlement/closure of a file, sends original legal documentation to archive and transfers borrower’s folder in the department’s shared folder to the archive section.
* Generate/prepare client & portfolio monitoring reports
* Ensures at all times that the core banking systems provides the correct status of facility limits, conditions, classification, securities, and collateral based on the latest approved proposals
* Ensures at all times proper monitoring of all legal documentation and timely renewal
* Ensures at all times that borrower’s file on the department’s shared folder provides the correct status of legal documentation
Ensures that the fire cabinet inventory folder is timely update
Interaction with stakeholders (internally)
* The role requires regular interaction with many stakeholders in BBE, including employees and their line managers in the commercial departments and operations, other risk functions, legal services, treasury, compliance, internal audit of BBE.
* The Credit Administration will also regularly engage with Senior Management in Brussels, London and Paris (reporting, requests for information, etc.)
Interaction with external stakeholders
* The role may require limited direct contact with external auditors (requests for reports, information, clarification) and other third parties.
Travel
* The role is based in Brussels. There will be no travel involved, other than perhaps an occasional visit to the BBE offices in London and Paris for support or training.
Requirements
Education
* Relevant degree of a reputable school or university
* Can be replaced by truly relevant credit experience
Experience
* Minimum 5 years relevant credit administration experience
* Good knowledge of loan products and procedures Good understanding of prevailing regulations in Europe/Belgium
* Good understanding of legal loan documentation
Languages
* Proficient in written, spoken English, French
* Proficiency in Dutch is an extra
