Drive the international expansion of a leader in phytotherapy.
You develop and implement Tilman’s international growth strategy, manage the export team, and actively contribute to strengthening the laboratory’s presence in international markets.
Responsibilities and tasks
As Director of the International Department, your main mission is to lead and accelerate the development of Tilman’s international sales. You sustainably position Tilman as a leading European player with a global reach.
1. After a phase of in-depth analysis of the existing situation (organisation, products, markets, customers, channels,, you develop the company’s international growth strategy. This will include, among other things, the consolidation of current markets, the optimisation of the customer portfolio, and the opening of new territories or segments.
2. You personally ensure the active implementation of part of this strategy by taking charge of certain geographical areas or strategic accounts through prospecting, creation of partnerships, business development, negotiation with key players, customer retention, etc.
3. You lead a team of 10 employees, including 6 Export Directors organised by region and 4 International Account Managers. You provide daily guidance, offering structure, consistent support, and inspiration, while fostering their professional development and aligning the team around a shared vision.
4. You add value by improving organisational structure, clarifying roles, defining territories, and prioritising actions and tools. You contribute to the department’s development with a focus on both performance and long-term sustainability.
5. You analyse the profitability of projects and customers (measured using P&L) and take the appropriate actions.
6. You and your team actively participate in trade fairs, international events, and other development projects.
7. You maintain a harmonious and constructive relationship with all internal teams.
8. You report to the CEO and are part of the Executive Committee.
Your profile
9. You have a degree in international management or equivalent. A scientific education is an asset.
10. You have proven experience in international business development, including the operational and strategic management of teams. You have already achieved tangible results.
11. You have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical sector, including OTC products.
12. You have a genuine affinity with the products offered by Tilman.
13. You are recognised for your ability to motivate and unite your team, and you pay attention to the development of your team members’ skills.
14. You communicate clearly and fluently in English and French. Proficiency in other languages, such as Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, or any other language, is an asset.
15. You are willing to travel internationally on a regular basis and to spend at least one week per month on site at Tilman’s headquarters in Baillonville, Belgium, working closely with the local teams.
