Job Description
Innovative Medicine Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational supply chain processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform (SAP S/4HANA) for growth and efficiency gains. The program will simplify the Pharm ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost‑effective, fit‑for‑purpose digital backbone that will support the Pharm business with agility. R&D is an integral part of the IM Transcend program, transforming and standardizing relevant R&D supply chain processes into the global IM Transcend template.
You Will Be Responsible For
* Strategic partnering with R&D leaders (global/site) to define the end‑to‑end product/process vision (scope: logistics, transportation management, warehouse management, customer excellence, partner integrations, global trade processes)
* Engage with the business to build alignment and readiness for adoption of the Transcend global template (Fit‑to‑Standard) and clean core principles.
* Advise R&D business leaders on Transcend functional strategy, roadmap trade‑offs, and release impacts.
* Ensure mandatory requirements are captured, assessed, and incorporated into the capability roadmap.
* Partner with the Global Template Owner to ensure the global template meets business needs while maintaining clean core principles.
* Drive cross‑functional convergence across Innovative Medicine Supply Chain and TDS, aligning priorities and value realization across functions.
* Anticipate release planning and lead business readiness activities, including change impact assessment and identification of near‑term quick wins.
* Drive continuous improvement post go‑live, including issue triage, process performance reviews, and backlog prioritization.
Approximate Percentage Of Time & Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
* 40% Translate business strategy into a functional capability roadmap (prioritization, requirements sign‑off, and release readiness criteria).
* 30% Global process ownership and governance (decision forums, standards, and Fit‑to‑Standard alignment).
* 15% Value identification and realization planning (benefits cases, KPI definition, and adoption measurement).
* 10% Continuous improvement (post go‑live optimization, backlog prioritization, and performance management).
* 5% Compliance and audit readiness (regulated requirements, documentation, and controls).
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in Business or Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
* 8+ years of experience in R&D and/or supply chain domains, with depth in logistics, warehouse management, transportation management, customer excellence, and/or global trade (embargo management, licensing, ...).
* Demonstrated success as a global Business Process Owner and/or transformation leader, driving standardization decisions across sites and functions.
* Experience identifying, quantifying, and tracking business value (benefits cases, KPIs, and adoption measures).
* Relevant SAP S/4HANA experience, ideally in global template/Fit‑to‑Standard deployments.
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions in complex, ambiguous, global matrix environments.
* Experience defining and managing a business capability roadmap based on template capabilities (current and future), including prioritization and release planning.
* Strong knowledge of regulated environments and validation/compliance expectations.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops and governance forums.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of SAP master and transactional data objects in Logistics, Customer Excellence, and/or Global Trade Systems.
* Experience working within a Clinical Study environment.
* Manufacturing process knowledge and upstream/downstream integration points.
* Experience with change management for complex programs.
* Experience with process design methodologies.
* Travel up to 10%.
