Your role We are looking for a Data Architecture Engineer to join our team working on an innovative IT/OT architecture redesign project. In this role, you will help create a unified data architecture that supports real-time decision making and historical data analysis in a manufacturing environment. In this role you will play a key role in: Consulting with stakeholders to refine user requirements and functional specifications Designing and implementing a Unified Namespace (UNS) to organize industrial data Developing scalable, performant data pipelines to extract, enrich, and publish data in real-time Creating custom software components to expose data from previously isolated systems Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance Optimizing pipeline performance (latency, throughput, reliability) Your profile Master's degree in computer science, engineering, automation, or related field 5+ years of work experience in software development or data engineering Deep understanding of Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture and implementation Experience with "DataOps" systems (e.G., HighByte, Apache NiFi, Litmus, HiveMQ) Proficiency with message broker technology (Kafka, Active MQ), caching systems (Redis), and databases (SQL and NoSQL) Knowledge of automation/equipment protocols (MODBUS, OPC UA, S7, etc.) Experience with DevOps practices, containerization, and version control What you'll love about working here At Capgemini Belgium we offer flexibility in more than one way: next to our hybrid way of working, where we offer you can work 70% from home, we also offer our flex abroad program.
