Building Management Software Engineer Fire and Security (m/f/x)
Explore the role of Building Management Software Engineer – Fire & Security (m/f/x) with Siemens Smart Infrastructure. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and optimize advanced software solutions that make buildings safer, smarter, and more efficient.
Responsibilities
* Project lead: From project start to delivery, you are the central point of contact for the Building Management System (BMS).
* User experience: You ensure an optimal and user‑friendly experience for our customers by translating their needs into a well‑functioning BMS.
* Implementation: You implement the BMS by:
o Sizing and installing the software package.
o Performing integrations with subsystems.
o Creating management views and granting user access.
* Collaboration: You work closely with the project manager, subsystem colleagues, and technical support.
* Post‑delivery: After delivery, you remain involved: performing upgrades, installing security patches, and migrating systems to new technologies.
* Knowledge sharing: You contribute to defining standards and share knowledge within the team.
Qualifications
* At least a bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
* Affinity with software, applications, and ICT: familiarity with servers, networks, virtualization, redundancy, and backup.
* Customer‑oriented, patient, and stress‑resistant.
* Knowledge of building systems (fire safety, security, HVAC) is a plus.
* Strong communication skills in English, Dutch, and/or French.
