We currently have a vacancy for a Java Application Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the first assignment, the successful candidate will join the Development team and closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Tasks:
1. Analysis of the integration of different information systems
2. Data analysis and data modelling
3. Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
4. Technical interface between project leaders and developers
5. Production of software architecture documents
6. Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with users
7. Assistance during testing, analysis, documentation, deployment, and reporting
Qualifications:
* University degree with at least 11 years of relevant IT experience
* Hands-on experience with Java
* Knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns
* Knowledge of application design
* Familiarity with modelling tools
* Understanding of Enterprise Architecture
* Experience with Relational DBMS
* Business process analysis skills
* Experience in writing use cases, understanding technical architecture, coding, database scripting, and documentation
* Knowledge of interoperability technologies such as web services, middleware, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture
* Excellent command of English
