We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee for Grant-making Support.
The role will provide valuable experience in the grant-making process, working closely with our Grants team to ensure smooth operations and effective support to democracy activists.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in reviewing financial reports to ensure compliance with requirements and draft feedbacks to beneficiaries;
* Prepare grant agreements, addenda, and other standard contractual documentation;
* Translate brief texts from Turkish to English and vice-versa;
* Update the database and maintain the archive;
* Support other administrative tasks of the Grants team.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of the grant-making cycle and experience in administrative work and financial report assessment is strongly preferred;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary;
* High drive for detail and accuracy is required;
* Proficiency in Turkish language is required, in addition to English.

Others:
* Citizenship of an EU Member State or residency in the European Union is preferred, but not mandatory;

Your Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of the grant-making cycle and experience in administrative work and financial report assessment is also desirable.
