Business Controller – Ghent, Belgium
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Controller to strengthen our Finance team within a dynamic, technology-driven environment based in the Ghent Region .
In this role, you will act as a key financial partner to senior management and cross-functional teams, supporting strategic decision-making through robust analysis, accurate reporting, and forward-looking insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Develop and maintain management reporting and KPI dashboards
Analyze financial and operational performance, including revenue, margins, and cost structures
Provide actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making
Perform scenario and profitability analyses to support business initiatives
Monitor performance against targets and explain variances
Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement of financial reporting
Support digitalization and automation initiatives within the finance function
Ensure data integrity across ERP and reporting systems
Profile Requirements:
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, or financial analysis
Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is required
Experience with ERP systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
Proactive, structured, and results-driven
