We are looking for an experienced IT Domain Architect – Asset Management to join a dynamic architecture team within a critical infrastructure environment.
The role focuses on ensuring that the IT landscape supporting the Asset domain is coherent, secure, operable, and future-proof. You will act as a key link between business initiatives and IT implementation, translating business capabilities into scalable and robust technical solutions while aligning with strategic and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Ensure the coherence, security, operability, and future-readiness of the Asset domain IT landscape
2. Act as a bridge between business architecture and IT delivery
3. Translate business capabilities into actionable IT architectures and roadmaps
4. Align domain architecture with enterprise standards, strategies, and regulatory constraints
5. Support decision-making through architectural expertise and governance
Your day-to-day activities will include:
Architectural Translation & Design
6. Form a strategic partnership with Business Architecture to translate organizational capabilities into IT roadmaps
7. Convert business processes into detailed IT blueprints guiding development and implementation
Standards & Governance
8. Define and enforce domain-specific principles aligned with group and local standards
9. Present and defend architecture designs to governance bodies (e.g. Architectural Review Board)
10. Document architectural decisions using ADRs
11. Prevent architectural drift and unmanaged technical debt
12. Monitor SLA/OLA performance and report domain-level risks
Portfolio Management
13. Maintain a single source of truth for the Asset IT application and platform portfolio
14. Perform portfolio assessments (e.g. Gartner TIME, 6R) in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
15. Identify reuse opportunities to reduce technical debt and costs
16. Ensure solutions are viable across lifecycle phases (build, run, evolve, retire) and aligned with domain strategy
Strategic Advisory
17. Conduct trade-off analyses (cost, risk, complexity, time-to-value)
18. Review solution architectures for consistency within the domain
19. Define and maintain domain roadmaps considering regulatory and technological evolution
20. Advise senior stakeholders on long-term architectural implications
Data, Integration & Information Architecture
21. Collaborate with Data and Solution Architects on data models, integration patterns, and data ownership
22. Ensure interoperability between enterprise systems, control systems, and analytics platforms
23. Support semantic consistency and data quality
Security, Resilience & Compliance
24. Ensure security, availability, and resilience requirements are embedded in architectures
25. Guarantee compliance with regulatory, safety, and cybersecurity requirements
26. Define architectural measures for business continuity and disaster recovery

29. Collaborative approach across Business, Domain, Solution, Security, Platform, Enterprise, and Data Architecture
30. Ability to operate within governance frameworks and take ownership of architectural decisions
Technical & Professional Experience
31. Strong knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate, applied pragmatically
32. Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event Storming, and Agile Architecture
33. Familiarity with architecture evaluation methods such as ATAM and Gartner TIME
Industry & Domain Expertise
34. Strong experience in Energy & Utilities or similar infrastructure environments
35. Exposure to Asset Management and operational environments
36. Understanding of IT/OT integration and safety-critical systems
37. Awareness of security, availability, regulatory compliance, and operational risks in critical infrastructures
Languages
38. Native-level proficiency in Dutch, French, or German
39. Professional proficiency in English
40. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset
Votre profil
41. You have at least 5 years of professional experiences in IT
42. If you are at least fluent in FR/ENG or NL/ENG it’s best
43. You’re eager to learn, motivated and curious
