About our role:
Our client operates in the media sector, a space undergoing a major shift driven by digital acceleration, AI integration, and the rapid expansion of digital.
Our client is looking for a versatile, thoughtful, and hands-on Fullstack Engineer who can blend development skills with initiative and technical curiosity. You will be responsible for enhancing internal tools, developing new features, and supporting a major modernisation of their internal digital ecosystem.
In this role, you will work closely with a small, collaborative internal team (including another developer) and play a key role in rethinking core systems that impact day-to-day operations across the organisation. You’ll help shape tools used across the Belgian market and support digital transformation initiatives that matter. What you will be doing:
* Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for internal applications.
* Develop new features, modules, and improvements in line with evolving business needs.
* Participate in architectural choices, technical design sessions, and implementation discussions.
* Collaborate closely with the current internal developer to ensure continuity and shared knowledge.
* Act as a technical link between internal teams, external partners, and commercial stakeholders.
* Contribute to the optimisation, refactoring, and modernisation of existing internal platforms.
* Engage in hybrid responsibilities that combine development with application lifecycle support.
* Support two major 2026 projects: a full redesign of a legacy internal tool and the creation of a B2B client portal.
What you bring:
* Ambition to further develop your career in fullstack engineering and digital product development.
* Proven experience in a similar fullstack or back-end development role.
* Past experience in the media industry is a plus.
* Your strengths include backend and frontend development with Node.js, Express.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and a framework such as Next.js.
* Hands-on experience working with databases including SQLite, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL solutions.
* Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, JWT, Git/GitHub workflows, and basic Linux/WSL environments.
* Understanding of cloud concepts (AWS or Azure).
* Comfort working in environments where autonomy, initiative, and problem solving are appreciated.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills, contributing positively to a small, supportive team.
* Strong communication skills in French; English is an asset.
