The Pricing Director is the architect of Carrefour Belgium’s competitiveness and value creation. Operating at the intersection of Finance, Merchandise, and Data, you will define and drive an omnichannel pricing strategy (Hyper, Market, Express, and E-commerce) to maintain a critical balance between :
Group Profitability: Optimization of Carrefour’s margins.
Network Sustainability: Protecting the margins of our franchise partners.
As the guardian of a €30M price investment budget, you will transform market data into powerful levers for profitable growth.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CHALLENGES
1. Strategic Steering & Value Arbitration
Define the long-term pricing vision in alignment with the Carrefour Group’s global ambitions.
Validate consumer retail prices and wholesale billing prices for franchisees to secure the financial ecosystem.
2. Competitiveness & Market Performance
Manage price indices (National Brands, Private Labels, Fresh Products) in a highly aggressive competitive landscape.
Anticipate market trends and propose corrective actions (Aggressive "Assassin" pricing, KVIs) to defend market share.
3. Leadership in Data Transformation
Modernize pricing and reporting tools: transitioning from transactional management to predictive decision-making
Inspire and coach a team of experts (5 Pricers, 2 Analysts) by fostering agility and a results-oriented mindset.
4. Governance & Stakeholder Management
Act as a critical Business Partner for BU Directors, Finance, and Operations.
Advise the Board on inflationary risks and margin growth opportunities.
YOUR PROFILE
Education: University Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a retail environment is essential.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of distribution channels and retail product lifecycles
Leadership: Proven track record in people management and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Skills: Strong strategic vision combined with sharp analytical capabilities.
Mindset: Results-driven and customer-centricity are in your DNA.
Communication: An influential communicator capable of simplifying complex matters for Executive Board presentations.
Change Management: Strong project management and organizational skills to lead effective transformations.
