A rare and exciting position is now available in the AXA XL team for a Senior Underwriter Property to support and grow the (department) insurance product in the Benelux region, with focus on the Belgium market.At the crux of this role is the ability to underwrite risks for the product line and support Brokers/Clients in understanding our product and finding tailor-made solutions for the individual Client. All with a chance to develop within the insurance industry in a supportive team led by experienced industry professionals.What You'll Be DOINGWhat will your essential responsibilities include?Underwriting, managing and growing the Property portfolio in line with the business planBuilding and maintaining relationships with brokers and clientsNegotiate with property brokers to achieve our profit objectivesDeveloping the offering to the property segment and executing on AXA XL International's plans for the regionProactively, servicing, and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters and actively identifying opportunities for cross-selling AXA XL's productsOversee business development, generate submission flow to meet specific targetsSupport the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring aggregate exposure within agreed limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within agreed limitsSetup insurance programs in collaboration with middle office.Maintaining awareness of all claims advised; supporting and providing input on settlement of claims advisedSupporting the design and structure of risks; analysis and evaluation of all relevant property risks including CATNATIdentifying and driving new product development opportunitiesDevelop and maintain expertise with the products and services available on the property insurance marketInteract and manage internal relationships with other product lines and support areas locally in Benelux, particularly distribution, risk engineering and claims to ensure adequate communicationYou will be based in the AXA XL Antwerp office and will report to the Underwriting Manager Property, Energy and Construction Benelux.
