About the Role
Our client is on a mission to unlock the full value of data, driving operational excellence through self-service Business Intelligence. As a Power BI Analyst, you'll be at the heart of this transformation, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions and shaping the future of analytics. This is a freelance opportunity for 12 months, based in Antwerp, where your impact will be felt across the organization.

In this role, you will enable our client to extract actionable intelligence from complex datasets, supporting business-critical decisions and fostering a culture of data valorization. Your work will directly influence operational efficiency and strategic growth, making you a key builder in their data-driven journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deliver clear, actionable Power BI reports, dashboards, and presentations to drive operational insights
* Collect, process, and integrate relevant data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities within operational data
* Model and structure data warehouses, applying best practices in facts and dimensions (Kimball methodology)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective BI solutions
* Plan, design, and build data warehouse applications using tools such as Cognos or Datastage
* Drive data integration (ETL), reporting, and analytics initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables
* Work in an Agile environment, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement
* Champion data-driven solutions and foster a culture of operational excellence
Technical Skills & Experience
* Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Power BI
* Proven experience in (ANSI) SQL and creating SQL views
* Experience in data warehouse modeling and implementation
* Demonstrated knowledge of Kimball data organization (facts & dimensions)
* Experience with project-based work and/or formal training in data warehouse modeling
* Practical experience with data warehouse tools such as Cognos or Datastage
* Understanding of data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures
* Experience building data warehouse components: data integration (ETL), reporting & analytics (BI), databases, and metadata
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
* Nice to have: Experience with Databricks and DBT
Language Proficiency
* Fluent Dutch (CEFR level C2) is required
