Job Purpose: Through in-field scientific engagement with healthcare providers (HCPs) and external experts, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) fosters a more educated healthcare environment by: Communicating their deep knowledge of ViiV data in the context of overall patient care to ensure evidence-based understanding of the science behind ViiV medicines. Gathering valuable insights on ViiV products and services and on medical and scientific information to better understand patient needs and evidence gaps. Key Responsibilities: Engage in one-to-one scientific dialogue with external experts around ViiV medicines, enabling them to confidently discuss our portfolio with patients and the wider medical community, and ensuring they are knowledgeable in identifying the right patient for the most appropriate medicines. Act as an expert speaker at scientific events to disseminate information to larger groups of HCPs while stimulating clinical dialogue to gain different views and perspectives. Implement and optimize medical digital excellence projects. Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information from HCPs in a factual, balanced, and scientifically rigorous manner via the appropriate channel. Act as the interface between the professional healthcare community and the internal ViiV medical team to bring in value-added insights that inform Medical, Commercial, and R&D activities. Disseminate important safety information to HCPs as and when this emerges. Foster a collaborative working relationship with Account Managers and Commercial colleagues. Partner with matrix colleagues (sales, marketing, market access, etc.) to ensure strategies and business plans are both patient and business focused, adding value to external experts. Provide scientific education training for business partners such as the Account Managers by being the local scientific expert for our HIV medicines. Coordinate local ViiV-supported Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) and support GSK Clinical Operations for global ViiV-sponsored studies involving Belgian sites. Manage Healthcare Organization (HCO) grant applications. Maintain expertise in the evolving scientific/therapeutic area and on competitor medicines. Attend scientific meetings and congresses to stay abreast of the science in HIV and confidently discuss it with external experts. Ensure compliance with ViiV standards, policies, local codes of practice, guidelines, and laws to meet the strictest requirements. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Higher degree in life sciences: PhD, MSc, or equivalent, and/or other healthcare qualification with experience (e.g., physiotherapist or pharmacist). Significant (e.g., 3 years) pharmaceutical industry experience engaging in scientific exchange with external experts.
