Freelance IT Helpdesk Support Engineer (Antwerp) We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Engineer to provide first-line technical support for our Client in the Logistics Sector. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems related to hardware, software, and networking issues. As a part of the IT support team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's technology infrastructure and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues raised by end-users via phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices. Diagnose and resolve software issues, including operating systems (Windows, macOS), applications (Microsoft Office, etc.), and company-specific software. Assist with network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN, etc.) and guide users through basic troubleshooting steps. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support teams (2nd/3rd line). Ensure timely follow-ups with users to provide updates on the status of their issues and ensure resolution satisfaction. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, printers) and peripherals. Install and configure software applications as per company requirements, including operating systems, office software, and custom tools. Assist with the setup of new workstations for employees, including the installation of necessary hardware and software. Assist with user account creation, password resets, and managing access to company systems and applications via Active Directory or other identity management tools. Ensure compliance with company security policies for system access and data protection. Assist with routine system maintenance, including applying software patches, operating system updates, and antivirus updates. Monitor and report on system health, performance, and security updates to ensure that all devices are up-to-date.
