Job Summary
In this role as IT Infrastructure, Network and Operations Manager EMEA you'll lead a team of 6 people and oversee activities of our external partners and providers. The goal is to deliver high-quality ICT services to the Leuven HQ and all affiliates within EMEA. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure management, networking and operational process within a manufacturing environment. Our current operations are based on third parties providing operational support throughout our various office, managing these SLA's is a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and management of the ICT infrastructure and operations, including network connectivity, datacentre equipment, server solutions, end-user devices and service desk management.
Job Responsibilities
• Analyze Requirements:
Translate organizational needs into actionable ICT infrastructure and operational processes, ensuring the seamless integration of datacentre equipment, server resources, network connectivity (TE EMEA), end-user devices, and service desk management.
Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends, recommending and implementing technologies, tools, and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
• Communication and Reporting:
Proactively communicate and report on the status of ongoing infrastructure and operations projects to both internal ICT teams and external stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between business units, ICT teams, and third-party partners, facilitating the exchange of ideas and expertise to enhance tools, methods, and procedures.
Lead negotiations and follow-up with third-party vendors, ensuring contractual obligations are met and the best value is achieved.
• Project and Change Request Management:
Define and oversee projects and change requests, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
Develop clear cost structures and planning for new infrastructure, security projects, and change requests, ensuring alignment with stakeholders while avoiding operational disruptions.
• Support Current IT Infrastructure & Operations:
• Leadership:
Lead and manage the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) team, defining job roles, training requirements, and individual performance indicators (KPIs).
Conduct regular individual discussions and performance appraisals to motivate and improve team expertise, fostering a culture of growth and development.
• Collaboration
Collaborate with the information security team to ensure that infrastructure and operations strategies align with the organization's security policies and compliance requirements, including identification and mitigation of security risks, implement security best practices and respond to security incidents.
Profile Description
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in managing ICT infrastructure, network operations, and service delivery within a MedTech or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of datacentre equipment, server resources, networking technologies, and service desk management.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks, including ITIL and cybersecurity best practices.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with third-party vendor management, including contract negotiation and management.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Cisco, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
• Experience in the MedTech industry or healthcare IT environments is highly desirable.
