SQL server DBA (with Oracle knowledge)
About the role
Our client, a major player in the financial sector, is looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator with solid knowledge of Oracle DBA to join their infrastructure team.
This is a hands-on operational role, replacing a departing consultant, where you'll ensure the stability, performance, and evolution of critical database environments.
Responsibilities
Daily operation, maintenance, and monitoring of SQL Server environments
Manage database upgrades
Participate in decommissioning projects and migrations
Troubleshoot and resolve performance or availability issues ("firefighter" mindset)
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure database reliability and security
Provide documentation and best practices for database management
Profile
Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA in complex production environments
Good knowledge of Oracle DBA concepts and administration
Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills
Experience with version upgrades and database lifecycle management
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
English fluency required; French and/or Dutch Mandatory
