Description Working in the Product Journey Tribe The TSS cluster (Telenet Shared Services) within the Product Journey Tribe is looking for a Tech Lead to play a pivotal role in modernizing our platforms, raising engineering standards, and accelerating delivery performance across multiple teams. This is not a people management role. You are the technical conscience of the team ; the right hand of the Solution Architect, translating architecture vision into concrete guidance, standards, and templates that teams and consulting partners actually follow. Your role as our Tech Lead Drive architecture into delivery You define how technology is implemented. Working closely with the Solution Architect, Product Owners, lead Business Analysts, and build partners, you co-create and maintain the domain architecture, challenge solution designs during analysis phases, and ensure architectural decisions land correctly in the codebase. The landscape spans cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), container orchestration (OpenShift), data platforms (Snowflake), and a broad integration layer — you bridge the gap between architecture diagrams and running software. Set and enforce technical standards You establish and maintain the artefacts and code review standards that keep quality high across teams. You own compliance — not through governance decks, but through hands-on reviews, code templates, and direct technical guidance. You ensure teams meet standards on security, maintainability, testability, observability, scalability, and code quality. Challenge and guide delivery partners Multiple delivery and vendor teams operate within this environment. You challenge their functional analysts and developers when translating business requirements into technical designs. You are the technical sparring partner that keeps external delivery honest and aligned with Telenet's Architectural and Software Factory guardrails. Reduce technical debt & drive innovation You actively steer technical debt reduction and code quality improvement. You monitor technology roadmaps, identify modernization opportunities, and plan the introduction of new technologies — including cloud-native patterns and AI adoption — through hands-on support, training, and inspirational sessions. Streamline delivery & release processes You increase agility and intelligence in delivery, patching, and release processes. You guide teams through their cloud journey, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation. What this role is NOT Not a team lead or scrum master : you don't manage people, sprints, or backlogs Not a solution architect : you work alongside the SA as their technical sparring partner, not in place of them Not a business analyst : you challenge BAs and consulting FAs on technical feasibility; you don't own functional analysis Not a project manager : your authority comes from technical expertise and the quality of your guidance, not from a reporting line Your profile as our Tech Lead Master's degree in IT/CS or equivalent through experience, with 5 years in a hands-on technical leadership or senior solution design role in an enterprise environment Proven experience in designing scalable software systems, defining implementation standards, and performing architecture-level code reviews Solid knowledge of cloud platforms — specifically AWS and/or GCP Experience with container orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and modern delivery pipelines (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code) Understanding of integration architecture and patterns (API-led, event-driven, messaging) Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake and how they fit into a broader enterprise data architecture Solid IT infrastructure knowledge — networking, security, compute, storage — enough to have informed conversations with infra teams and challenge vendor proposals. Also a genuine passion for technology and staying current with industry evolution, including AI adoption The ability to translate complex technical topics into clear language for business stakeholders and senior management A strong team player and communicator in English (Dutch is a plus) Our offer to you At Telenet group, you get more than just an attractive gross salary. We strongly believe in results and ownership: we give trust but also expect commitment and impact. What you achieve truly matters.
