About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Program Manager to lead a large-scale Military Command and Control program operating at a European level. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in managing complex, multi-national defence programs with high security, interoperability, and mission-critical requirements.
This role requires strategic leadership, structured program execution, and consistent stakeholder alignment across governmental, defence, and industry partners. The successful candidate will oversee the full program lifecycle. planning, risk management, delivery assurance, and continuous improvement of a system essential to European security and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a multi-year Command and Control program across multiple EU countries and NATO stakeholders
Oversee planning, budgeting, risk management, procurement, vendor coordination, and technical governance
Ensure compliance with NATO and EU defence standards, including security, interoperability, and operational performance requirements
Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and program support units
Maintain executive-level communication with senior defence officials, partners, and industry leaders
Guarantee timely, high-quality delivery of milestones and capability increments
Establish strong program governance structures and reporting mechanisms
Handle audits, quality assurance, and security compliance processes
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in program or project management within the defence, aerospace, or national security domain
Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs at national or international scale
Deep understanding of Command and Control systems, defence architectures, and mission-critical ICT environments
Eligibility for NATO Secret and EU Secret security clearances
Strong familiarity with NATO interoperability standards, EU defence frameworks, and classified information handling
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate effectively under pressure, in politically sensitive and highly regulated environments
Fluency in English. additional European languages are an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with Ministries of Defence, NATO agencies, or EU institutions
Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent
Background in systems engineering, cybersecurity, or defence operations
