We are looking for a motivated and experienced Software Leader to join our team and lead the development of advanced software solutions for tomorrow's transportation systems, particularly within the ATO (Automatic Train Operation) domain.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of developers, ensuring team growth, skill development, and technical guidance.
Challenge the team constructively, help structure their approach, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate with system experts to define software specifications, in a context that may at times be unclear or evolving.
Contribute to software development in C++ (application-level) on a Linux environment, using tools such as Docker and WSL.
Oversee source code management, delivery timelines, release planning, and technical documentation.
Actively contribute to integration and clean software release processes.
Profile / Requirements :
Technical Skills Required
Strong development skills in C++, especially at the application level (not low-level).
Experience working in Linux environments.
Familiarity with Docker and WSL tools.
Solid knowledge of web technologies: React, Express, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, and basic understanding of databases.
Ability to step into web-related development when needed.
Experience with version control systems (preferably Git or GitLab).
Must-Have Profile
Fluent in both English and French, written and spoken.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Software, Electronics, Industrial, etc.).
At least 3 years of experience in software development with C++ and/or Linux.
Prior experience in technical leadership or team management.
Strong logical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
Good organizational skills, autonomy, and persistence.
Ability to quickly ramp up on new topics.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with ERTMS Level 2 railway systems is a strong asset.
Background in critical systems such as railway signaling, automotive, aerospace, or avionics.
Understanding of engineering fundamentals: reading technical diagrams, SI units, kinematics, etc.
