Overview
The WHS Site Manager plays an important role in helping our operations deliver to our customers. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to be the one behind the Amazon smile. The WHS Site Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the Site Operations team to execute company policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, the WHS Site Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes, ensuring a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates. A successful WHS Site Manager will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through comprehensive risk assessments and data analysis.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Manage overall compliance with local requirements and authorities.
* Provide advice and guidance on Health and Safety matters to all stakeholders within the designated area of responsibility.
* Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
* Support business change through effective change management processes within a fast‑paced environment.
* Manage Continuous Improvement initiatives with partners, and develop SOPs to ensure Amazon’s requirements, guidelines and policies are communicated and executed by partners.
* Build strong working relationships with internal peers, and maintain and improve communication.
* Develop plans for on‑site emergencies, peak safety, heat stress, special events and other unique WHS situations.
* Perform WHS data analysis and establish improvement plans.
* Ensure WHS record‑keeping and provide reporting and metrics to support business WHS.
* Work with Legal for WHS regulation interpretations and investigations.
* Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified risks and prevent injury.
* Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
* Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.
* Partner with corporate and other regional field WHS personnel to leverage global best practices.
* Understand local/regional regulations and company policy.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
* Experience in workplace health & safety (WHS) related field.
* Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written.
* Experience with data analysis.
