As Risk Manager, you support the various entities within Colruyt Group in identifying, analysing and managing their risks. You also detect risks across Colruyt Group that could affect business continuity. You play an active role in the development of a strong risk management framework within the organisation.
You develop, implement and supervise the various businesses in business continuity plans (BCP), so that we as a company are prepared for unexpected events, can recover quickly from disruptions and continue to assume our social role as a leading retailer even in emergency situations.
On the other hand, you are also in the field. You make operational analyses and identify potential risks in business processes. You report your findings to management and work together with the operating units on concrete improvement plans which you help to follow up from A to Z.
What do you actually do as Risk Manager?
* Plan, initiate, coordinate, facilitate and document (via the risk register) the processes of the various operating units. Thus, on the one hand you identify and analyse the main strategic risks and opportunities. On the other hand, you also keep an eye on the response and monitoring of those risks.
* Integrate results of the ongoing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programme into audit planning.
* Establish and monitor the methodology and processes used within risk management.
* Guiding the various management boards in concepts such as scenario analysis, game theory, "war games", disaster recovery, operational resilience, ... to further increase the resilience of our organisation.
* Drafting and coordinating crisis plans, business continuity plans, ... at group level, i.e. across all entities and all countries.
* Reporting recommendations, risk consolidation, ... to senior management.
* Co-designing, developing and implementing methodologies related to risk management and business continuity management.
* Ability to supervise and coach team members.
Profile:
* Education and experience: You combine a higher degree with several years of experience in operational risk management or business continuity planning.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills: You do not shy away from problems. On the contrary, you look for solutions and take initiative. You have strong analytical skills, think in terms of processes and are comfortable with financial analyses.
* Mentality of getting things done: You work independently and proactively. You take initiative, grasp issues and continuously strive to improve processes and results.
* Communication skills: You easily adapt your communication to your interlocutor, both orally and in writing. A must, because you come into contact with very different people, all over the organisation.
* Language skills: You speak and write Dutch and English fluently and you are proficient in French.
You can easily come to Halle for at least 3 days a week. With us, you can work up to 2 days a week from home or in one of our regional hubs (Zwijnaarde, Mechelen, Bornem or Haasrode).
