Team/division description
Strategy Planning and Digitalisation department is one of the R&D innovation drivers. Our multidisciplinary team puts fundamental methodologies (Toyota Production System, Agile, Data management, PLM, process automation, at work to make our development work proceed smoothly, and ultimately deliver better products to European Toyota customers. We do:
1. Engage and collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside R&D to identify opportunities for process improvement across the organization.
2. Provide a framework for process digitalization and efficient resources management.
3. Lead the study, development and deployment of digital solutions for R&D.
Your project
Business value can be derived from data by using chatbots that are powered by large language models (LLMs).
We are looking into how these technologies can help us access and analyse data from structured and unstructured databases, as well as generate new insights from those data.
This involves a number of challenges, both technical (the diversity of sources) and compliance (privacy, confidentiality).
The successful candidate will learn about the state-of-the-art chatbots that R&D has, both commercial and proprietary, and will create and test connection to additional data sources and applications.
Your Profile
4. You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
5. You are a student in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, math, statistics, etc) and have been exposed to courses/projects in data analysis.
6. You have good command of Python language, including fundamental libraries for data science (numpy, pandas, TensorFlow, pyTorch,
7. You have some previous experience with chatbots powered by large language models (LLMs), ideally as a developer / algorithm developer.
8. Your experience with structured (like SQL and XML) and unstructured databases, on premise and on cloud, will be considered as strong additional assets.
