The mission is to reinforce a team as a right-hand Project Lead to secure legal, contractual and governance aspects of a 500M€ industrial infrastructure project with international exposure.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of corporate meetings with the external investor (agenda, presentations, minutes using Corporify, and internal Steerco)
* Contractual aspects of governance and financing related contracts (Shareholders and Financing agreements)
* Contractual aspects of material construction project contracts (EPC, CRM, Tolling Agreement, contracts)
* Document management and retention in view of potential litigation
* Ensure proper recording of all contractual-related correspondence and reports for potential future litigation
* Handle various other legal and contractual issues related to the project
* Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines for objective decision-making
* Contract/Claims management: support the Contract Management team on various legal questions and disputes (with support from outside counsel) and maintain a tracker of all issues
* Facilitate communication and reporting between stakeholders; support LCIM on legal, contractual and insurance issues, corporate governance of the project company, shareholders and financing agreements, insurance contracts, and reporting
* Management of insurance policies relating to the project; liaise with internal Legal team and external advisors as needed
Qualifications
* 3 to 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate governance, project finance, and/or construction contracts
* Exposure to litigation matters, ideally linked to industrial or infrastructure projects
* Strong communication, cooperation, and negotiation skills in both French and English
* Capacity to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines with rigor and structure
* Ability to analyze complex legal and technical issues and manage document retention diligently
* Comfortable in international and multicultural environments; eager to learn
* Entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus
* Immediate availability is preferred
* Presence in Belgium is preferred, with a valid Single permit for non-EU citizens
