At Kuehne+Nagel, our customs professionals ensure that international trade flows smoothly and compliantly. As a Customs License and Authorization Expert, you’ll play a key role in managing and maintaining customs licenses and authorizations across Belgium and Luxembourg. Your work ensures that our operations remain compliant, efficient, and future-ready.
How you create impact
1. Maintain and review existing customs authorizations to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
2. Apply for new authorizations or simplifications and manage necessary updates.
3. Monitor AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) status and ensure continued qualification.
4. Support customers in applying for customs authorizations and provide expert guidance.
5. Communicate with customs authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.
6. Monitor reference amounts and securities to ensure financial compliance.
7. Identify risks and gaps in customs processes and propose mitigation strategies.
8. Stay informed on legal changes and ensure timely implementation of required adjustments.
What we would like you to bring
9. A degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
10. Experience in customs compliance, licensing, or a similar role.
11. Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a strong advantage.
12. Willingness to travel across the Belgium–Luxembourg region as needed.
13. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and risk identification.
14. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
15. A proactive, hands-on attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
16. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
