We're hiring a General Accountant with minimum 3 years of experience

Job context
You maintain the general ledger for one or more entities: journal entries, account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation. The basics are handled with meticulous attention to detail. You manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles—from invoice verification to payment, from monitoring receipts to following up on outstanding balances
You are at the heart of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes: provisions, accrued expenses, deferred revenue, fixed assets, and intercompany reconciliations. You know the group calendar inside and out.
You prepare tax returns (VAT, DEB/DES, CVAE, corporate income tax) and contribute to the preparation of the tax package. You participate in reporting, the work of the auditors, and you are proactive in suggesting improvements to processes—automation, digitization, and multi-entity harmonization. In short, you make things happen.
Key responsibilities
* Manage general accounting (data entry, reconciliations, account monitoring)
* Prepare tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) and ensure regulatory compliance
* Contribute to financial reporting and internal control processes
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable (invoicing, payments, follow-ups)
* Support monthly and annual closings (provisions, fixed assets, intercompany)
* Contribute to financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and internal control processes
Desired Profile
* Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a general accountant, ideally gained in a company (mid-sized or large corporation) or in an accounting firm with significant exposure to large-scale projects.
* Experience in a multi-company or international environment is a plus.
* Mastery of accounting principles and current tax regulations
* Proficient with ERP systems such as BOB 50, Winbooks, Odoo, SAP, Oracle and with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
* Good command of PCMN and Belgian taxation (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax)
* Knowledge of IFRS standards and consolidation issues is appreciated.
* Languages: fluency in French is essential and professional level of English is mandatory
